Dusk flame

Dance, ashen sands
Rest, rose gold red
Pendant of fire
Rest your bronze head
On rocky horizons

Sigh, dusk flame
Crackling twigs throw
A million dancing sparks
To the heavens

Consider the starry host
You watchful desert eyes
Do you grasp their light-years
In your palm?

The desert sands
Shift and change
The sands of time
Sculpt and contour
But in all eternity
The Artist remains

He streches out the skies
Each star known by name
To guide his sheep
When they hear His name.
